Himalayan salt is extracted in mines going from 100 to 800 metres deep. It has a very high purity, free from all pollution. Studies would have shown that these salt crystals emit naturally negative ions and that this phenomenon was intensified under the effect of a warm-up (by electric light bulb). These lamps clean up and purify the air, the orange colour calms the senses.
These lamps, being composed of salt, are sensitive to humidity. In case of exposure to a strong humidity, you just need to switch them on to dry them. When they are used in a bedroom, it is advised to place them at a distance of more than one meter from the sleeper's head. Prolonged sun exposures are also to be avoided.
The salt lamp has to be imperatively switched on to take advantage of its benefits.
