Polished Alum Stone
Alum stone (Alunite) is the active principle of antiperspirants (a double sulphate of potassium and hydrated aluminium). This natural stone which is similar to a mineral salt is extracted from quarries. Presented in the form of a stone that fits in the palm of the hand, its has recognized astringent properties since thousands of years.
Thanks to its action that tightens the pores of the skin, it is used like a natural antiperspirant. Wet the Alum Stone in the palm of your hand and apply on the armpits. It regulates the secretions and eliminates the odours leaving the skin breathes freely. Thus you avoid to put your skin in contact with chemical products sometimes harmful for your body and health.
Its haemostatic properties make it an excellent healing for small cuts, wounds or injuries. It is well-known to calm razor burn. After use, rinse and then dry the stone.
